Which photos should I choose to turn into digital portraits?
- The one you like the most. Pay attention to the child's head, smile, and eyes.
- A child on photos should look straight to the camera, have whole head and shoulders visible. Please, don't expect me to make someone look a lot better than he is ;) (or to have open eyes when they are closed in the photo)
- Send the best quality of photo and the highest resolution of your photo.
- Try to choose the photo where the person is alone.
- Do not crop or modify original photos before sending to me.
What format should my photos have?
Most digital cameras save pictures as .jpg files. If you have a printed photo, it can also be scanned to this format. Send your pictures in .jpg, .jpeg or .tiff (eventually .raw, but it may be too big for e-mail).
Send the best quality photo and the highest resolution of your photo. The better the image is the better your final painting will be.
Please note the size of your file. Depending on your e-mail software, you can have a size limit, for example, you may have 6 MB picture, when the maximum for your e-mail may be 5 MB. In such case, I can provide you with web address where you can upload the photos without emailing them.
Or, you may try to send 5 pictures, each of them is 2 MB. Total would be 10MB, which also may be too much. In such case you can send me 5 separate e-mails with one picture each.
Can I preview my painting before receiving it?
Yes. I will contact you to review it online or I will send you small version via email.
What is the turnaround time?
Most or orders are completed within 24hrs. After your approval and payment you will receive final version within minutes.
What methods of payment do you accept?
I accept Paypal payments, but even if you don't have the account with Paypal you can still pay with a credit card. Paypal is part of Ebay, which is a reputable company. No-one else will have access to your credit card information - it is very safe.
How long did it take to create digital painting on my website?
The time for that kind of digital painting was 1 to 3 hours depending on the details.
Do you paint traditional paintings?
No, I don't paint the traditional way.
What do you use to create digital paintings?
I use Photoshop CS2 and tablet Wacom Intous3.
Do you use any Photoshop plug-in?
No, I don't use any plug-ins. The picture is my own style of painting, only upon the completion of the work will I add a texture on the background.
Why can't I order prints from you?
I just decided so to give you more flexibility. You will receive from me a file which you can print in many places, any size you want, any number of copies you want.
Why do you paint children?
It is very simple, children make the most adorable looking portraits.
Why don't you paint adults?
I sometimes paint adults. But it needs more work and would cost more if I offered it here.
What file format I will receive from you?
You will receive jpg file from me, in resolution enough to print on letter size. Please note, most of my portraits are finished in square, so, after printing, you will have to crop it to fit in the frame of your choice.

Where can I order a print if you send me the file?
There are many places:
- You can go to your nearest Target store, Walgreens, CVS, Kinko or other store which has photo printing department or machine
